About OACNUDH
The Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights for Central America and the Caribbean (OACNUDH) is dedicated to the protection and promotion of human rights throughout the region. Operating under the United Nations Secretariat, OACNUDH aims to address critical human rights issues across Central America, including poverty, inequality, discrimination against Afro-descendants and indigenous peoples, violence, insecurity, and issues of impunity and rule of law. The office implements targeted campaigns such as "Free and Equal,” which promotes awareness of universal rights, and "#StandUp4Migrants," which seeks to improve the narratives surrounding migration.
