The Oakland County Quilt Guild is dedicated to promoting the art of quilt making. With a rich history dating back to 1989, this guild has become renowned for its service, charity work, and contribution to the community. Membership in the guild is open to anyone with an interest in quilting, and they welcome quilters of all skill levels.

They hold monthly guild meetings at the First Congregational Church in Rochester, Michigan, where they plan various programs, workshops, and activities. The guild also organizes events such as board meetings, general meetings, virtual workshops, and guest presentations. They invite guest speakers like Nancy Prince and Linda Hahn to share their expertise and inspire members.

Additionally, the guild engages in charitable endeavors, creating quilts to donate to local charities like Tiny Miracles, Gilda’s House, and others. For those interested, the guild offers a unique Storybook Quilts program that introduces quilting to elementary-aged children through literature. This program includes a collection of 36 storybooks and 66 small quilts that can be borrowed by schools, libraries, museums, and other groups.
