Oakland, Maine Youth Baseball and Softball is a community recreation program offered through the Town of Oakland’s Recreation Department. It provides age-based opportunities for local children to take part in baseball and softball, with divisions and schedules designed around players’ ages and experience. T-ball is presented as a first option for children in their first or second year of sports.

Baseball includes Rookies for players ages eight and under, with two practices and one game each week. Softball offers 8U, 10U, and 12U divisions: 8U teams play local towns, 10U typically has a weekly scrimmage and game, and 12U has two games and a practice each week. The program operates as weather permits, and division age cutoffs apply.

Oakland Recreation coordinates practices and field availability, while games and practices may take place at fields in Oakland and neighboring towns. Coaches can request practice fields through the program’s listed contact. Families with schedule questions are advised to check with their coach
