Oak Ridge Training Center

Oak Ridge Training Center is a thoroughbred training facility in Morriston, Florida, just outside Ocala. Serving owners and trainers with young horses to break and train, as well as horses preparing to race at Gulfstream Park, Tampa Bay Downs and tracks farther north, the center offers professional training facilities and a range of supporting amenities. Its 350 acres include turnout paddocks and two maintained training surfaces: a one-mile dirt track and a seven-eighths-mile Celebration Bermuda turf course.

Trainers based at Oak Ridge race horses in Florida and across the United States. Many also provide sales-preparation services for horses heading to auctions, including Ocala Breeder’s Sales and Fasig-Tipton. Owners can consult the center’s directory to find trainers and explore options suited to their horses’ needs. Oak Ridge also provides information for those interested in renting barns or stalls, with an inquiry form to help prospective renters determine how many stalls they need and identify an appropriate fit. The center combines training, turnout and rental opportunities in one thoroughbred-focused complex.
