As the sole service provider for Oak Street Special Service Area 75 (Oak Street SSA), the Oak Street Council is dedicated to preserving and nurturing an environment in which retailers, restaurants, and hotels thrive. In partnership with the City of Chicago, we strive to maintain the highest security level, beautify pedestrian areas and streets, and support the world-class clothiers, jewelers, timepiece brands, and restaurants that make up our neighborhood. Under the guidance of the Oak Street SSA Commission, the Oak Street Council provides a range of services. These include street-level security cameras to monitor the area, coordination with law enforcement agencies, cleaning and maintenance initiatives, and marketing efforts to promote the district as a premier shopping destination.
