Oamaru Funeral Services

Oamaru Funeral Services is a locally owned, independently run funeral provider serving families in Oamaru and across North Otago. Not part of a corporate group, the business offers a personal point of contact, with the person families speak to providing support throughout the arrangements. Its focus is on helping families and friends honour loved ones and celebrate their lives with compassion and care.

Services include full funerals and direct cremations, with no pressure to choose one option over another. The business describes its direct cremation service as North Otago’s most affordable option and aims to make costs clear from the outset, without hidden fees or pressure to spend more than necessary. Families can also arrange pre-planning, either by discussing their wishes with the team or completing a pre-arrangement form in their own time.

Additional support and resources include funeral planning information, grief services, guidance on writing a eulogy, live streaming, and information about memorials and headstones.
