OANI Teatro, also known as Fundación OANI de Teatro, is a Chilean performing arts organization focused on animated theatre, puppetry and object-based performance. Founded in Santiago in 1998, the company spent five years in Brazil before settling in Valparaíso in 2007. It became a foundation in 2014 and works to create, develop, research, teach and promote performing arts, particularly Teatro de Animación and Lambe-Lambe theatre.
OANI has produced 33 independent shows and participated in more than 70 festivals and arts gatherings in Chile and internationally. Its work includes intimate miniature Lambe-Lambe performances for one or two spectators, family productions such as Yo Soy un Oso, and other animated theatre formats. The organization also supports training and artistic development, and operates Casa OANI in Valparaíso as a venue for performances and cultural activities. Through FESTILAMBE, its international Lambe-Lambe theatre festival, OANI brings artists and audiences together and helps strengthen this distinctive theatrical form in Chile.
