Oase der Ruhe

Oase der Ruhe is a funeral service provider serving Stralsund and the island of Rügen, supporting families through bereavement and the practical arrangements following a death. Its approach centers on personal, compassionate care and encourages families to create farewell rituals that reflect the life and character of the person who has died. The team offers earth burial, cremation and Reerdigung, and can help families design or build a coffin or urn. Rather than emphasizing expensive caskets, the service focuses on accompanying loved ones and making each goodbye meaningful and individual.

Based at a rural farm on Rügen, Oase der Ruhe also offers the horse as a grief companion and provides a place where families can visit after the deceased has been transferred there. When requested, the team can bring someone who has died home from a hospital or similar facility so relatives can say goodbye in familiar surroundings. Staff are available by phone around the clock, advise on required documents and can help cancel contracts.
