About OAPA
The Observatoire des administrations publiques autochtones (OAPA) is a research partnership focused on Indigenous public administrations and issues affecting Indigenous communities. Its approach brings together traditional, experiential and scientific knowledge through collaboration, dialogue and the co-production of knowledge. The OAPA shares research through projects, commissioned work, analyses, scientific reports, academic articles, interviews and videos.
Its published work includes topics such as Arctic cooperation, media coverage of the Arctic, Indigenous languages online and Inuit use of social networks. Alongside research, the observatory offers advice and support to Indigenous communities and to Indigenous and non-Indigenous organizations. It also provides training, including continuing education and courses leading to an ENAP diploma.
The OAPA’s website presents its research themes, projects, publications, expert teams and activities, and invites organizations with research needs to get in touch. By connecting research, practical guidance and learning, the OAPA supports informed discussion and knowledge-sharing on Indigenous administration and related regional and community concerns
