About Observer
Observer AI is an open-source platform for building local micro-agents that monitor activity on your screen and respond to events. Designed with privacy in mind, it runs entirely on your device, helping users automate alerts and activity logging without sending sensitive information to external infrastructure. Agents can watch for events such as a failed GitHub workflow, a completed Docker download, a person appearing on camera, or a character dying in Minecraft.
Depending on the agent, they can send notifications through services such as WhatsApp, SMS, Telegram, Discord, email, or phone calls, or simply record activity. Users can create their own agents, explore examples shared by the community, and contribute code through the project’s open-source development. Observer is available for Windows, macOS, and Linux, with mobile and browser options also listed.
For teams, the company offers a paid arrangement with custom seat counts, a usage dashboard, direct technical support, and deployment on the team’s own infrastructure. The software is released under the AGPL-3. 0 license
