O’Budget is a Ghana-focused budgeting and expense-tracking app designed to help people plan spending and see where their money goes. Users set an overall budget, create categories such as food, transport, rent or school fees, and assign each a spending limit. A dashboard tracks expenses and shows what remains in each category.

The app can detect payment confirmation texts from supported services, including MTN MoMo, Telecel Cash, GhanaPay and participating banks. It prompts users to categorize a payment, split it across categories, defer it or ignore it. Cash withdrawals can also be tracked in a Cash Wallet until users record how the money was spent, while payments not captured automatically can be entered manually.

O’Budget is designed for Android phones running Android 8 or newer and works offline. The company says it has no account requirement, servers, ads or tracking; recorded information stays on the user’s phone, and backups are controlled by the user. The app is currently being tested in Ghana, with a Google Play release planned.
