OBX Walk Against Addiction

OBX Walk Against Addiction is a community initiative on North Carolina’s Outer Banks focused on raising awareness and fighting addiction. Guided by the message “Fight This Together,” its mission is to address addiction locally and bring people together through an inclusive community event. The walk and race take place around First Flight High School, offering options for different ages and fitness levels. Participants can join a one-mile family walk for $10 or enter the 5K, a 3.2-mile route that circles the school and continues along wooded paths, for $35.

The event also offers activities beyond walking and running. Attendees can visit vendors, enjoy free hot dogs and hamburgers, purchase T-shirts and tank tops, hear guest speakers, and take part in activities designed for all ages.
