OC2000

OC2000 is the Orange Committee serving the communities of Monster and Ter Heijde in the Netherlands. The volunteer-led organization brings local residents together through celebrations and community activities, with Koningsdag, or King’s Day, as its main annual event. OC2000 works to make the day welcoming, lively and memorable, offering a programme of activities, music and entertainment in a familiar setting at Kerkplein. The committee highlights the square’s renewed surroundings as a fresh yet cosy backdrop for the festivities.

Organizing the celebration requires substantial funding, and municipal subsidies cover only part of the costs. OC2000 therefore invites people who value the local Orange festivities to support its work by becoming donors. Interested supporters can contact the committee by email or through Facebook Messenger. The website also provides information about the 2026 King’s Day programme and registration for a 2026 Liberation Day meal, alongside contact details and general visitor information. Through its events and fundraising, OC2000 helps sustain shared traditions and create opportunities for residents to celebrate together.
