About Atlanta Office of Cultural Affairs
The City of Atlanta Mayor's Office of Cultural Affairs (OCA) is dedicated to preserving, promoting, and enhancing the arts and cultural resources of Atlanta. Established in 1974, the OCA recognizes the vital role that arts and culture play in defining the social fabric and quality of life for both Atlanta citizens and visitors. The OCA strives to make the arts accessible to everyone through three core initiatives.
Firstly, they focus on preserving and promoting the arts through artistic festivals, public art installations, and cultural programming. Secondly, they create access to cultural opportunities by organizing gallery exhibitions, performances, and art centers. Lastly, they support the professional arts community by providing grant funding and resources for artists and nonprofit organizations.
Through these initiatives, the OCA aims to contribute substantially to Atlanta's economy, quality of life, and international reputation. They are committed to providing diverse cultural experiences that are available to all, nurturing artists and arts organizations, and educating and informing both citizens and visitors about Atlanta's rich cultural offerings. Join the OCA in celebrating art and culture in Atlanta
