Founded in 1994, the Oconee Cultural Arts Foundation (OCAF) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to promoting cultural arts and artists, as well as providing art education to the citizens of Oconee County and the northeast Georgia area. With a vision to inspire creativity, learning, and personal growth, OCAF offers a range of services and products to enrich lives and build a vibrant community through the arts. OCAF operates the 1902 OCAF Art Center, a historic building in downtown Watkinsville, which serves as a hub for the local arts community.

The center hosts ongoing exhibitions, concerts, performances, arts classes, and special events for people of all ages. Additionally, OCAF offers facility rentals for wedding receptions, meetings, workshops, and other private or corporate events. Various spaces, including the Main Gallery, Sculpture Garden, and Members Gallery, can be combined to accommodate larger celebrations.

Supporting local artists and the arts industry, OCAF organizes exhibitions and workshops, such as the Art of Nature Workshop Series and the Georgia Pottery Invitational. They also operate the Artists' Shoppe, where visitors can purchase unique artwork. By becoming an OCAF member or contributing to their 2023 Capital Campaign, individuals can actively support the organization's mission and help foster a thriving artistic community
