Occupational Therapy Helping Children (OTHC) supports children with diverse developmental needs, helping them participate more comfortably and confidently in everyday life. Based in Frenchs Forest, the practice recognises that every child is unique and celebrates neurodiversity. Its occupational therapy services address challenges such as concentration, handwriting, social skills, Autism Spectrum Disorders, genetic conditions and physical disabilities.
Families can access individual and group occupational therapy sessions at the clinic, as well as telehealth appointments and functional capacity assessments. OTHC also works with schools and preschools, and offers parent and carer workshops, coaching, professional development courses, groups and events. These services are designed to support children across home, school and community settings.
The organisation shares practical information through its blog, resources and podcast, covering topics related to children’s development and daily activities. Founded by Lisa Hughes, a senior occupational therapist, OTHC aims to empower children and support their wellbeing. Its clinic is located in Frenchs Forest, New South Wales, and appointments and enquiries can be made by phone or email.
