Oceania Pride has been a steadfast advocate for LGBTQIA+ rights in Fiji since 2008, emerging as a crucial support network for individuals seeking acceptance and equality. Originating as a university-based initiative, Oceania Pride has evolved into a nationally recognized organization dedicated to fostering a future where love and acceptance are celebrated as fundamental human rights.

The organization offers a range of services aimed at empowering LGBTQIA+ individuals and their families, including safe spaces, mentorship programs, and community support. Their Queer Youth Initiative focuses on providing resources and guidance to the next generation, while initiatives like The Acceptance Project work to share impactful stories that promote understanding and compassion across diverse communities.

Beyond its advocacy, Oceania Pride addresses pressing issues such as climate change and its unique effects on the LGBTQIA+ population in Fiji. By mobilizing dedicated volunteers and engaging the community, Oceania Pride continues to champion the cause of LGBTQIA+ rights and strives for lasting change in legislation and societal attitudes.
