Ocean Plastic Forum is an association dedicated to cleaning up our oceans by implementing business models that remove ocean plastic and transform it into new products. With approximately 60 members including interest groups, NGOs, universities, and various companies, Ocean Plastic Forum was founded in 2017 with a common concern for the abundance of plastic in our marine environment. As a one-point-of-contact, the forum offers assistance and collaboration in tackling challenges related to the removal and recycling of ocean plastic waste.

They facilitate value chains that prioritize recycling as high in the value chain as possible, utilizing the expertise of their members throughout the process. These members specialize in designing, supplying, and operating equipment for plastic waste recovery, as well as handling, sorting, and upcycling the plastic waste into valuable raw materials. Ultimately, their goal is to transform this upcycled ocean plastic waste into high-quality products, contributing to a circular economy and driving innovation in sustainable ocean plastic use.

Through knowledge sharing, events, and cross-sector partnerships, Ocean Plastic Forum is paving the way for positive change and a cleaner future
