Océan Protection France

Ocean Protection France (OPF) is a nonprofit association working to reduce plastic pollution in seas and oceans and promote awareness of climate and ocean protection. Founded in 2018, it is based in Palavas-les-Flots and has expanded through local branches, including Gironde and Brittany. Its work prioritizes practical action, engaging volunteers and communities in protecting coastlines and natural sites.

OPF organizes beach and site cleanups, coordinating collection and sorting, and offers educational activities for schools from kindergarten through high school. These include interactive games and learning tools. The association also raises awareness at public events through educational stands and zero-waste workshops, and provides a free talk on the impact of plastic on the Mediterranean and oceans. Social gatherings offer opportunities to discuss plastic pollution and possible solutions.

Through its website, OPF shares zero-waste advice, tutorials, and environmental news. It welcomes volunteers, partners, and participants in its activities. The association also offers a catalog of eco-friendly and zero-waste products, such as reusable bottles, mugs, and tote bags; sales help fund its work.
