Ocean Raccoons is an immersive initiative dedicated to the mindful observation of oceanic raccoons and their serene coastal environment. This project emphasizes the importance of maintaining distance to allow wildlife to thrive undisturbed, focusing on the rhythm of tides, misty coves, and tranquil shores. Ocean Raccoons invites participants to explore the delicate balance of the coastal ecosystem, where wet stones guide paths and kelp indicates tidal changes. The initiative does not promote close encounters with wildlife; instead, it values quiet observation that respects the animals’ natural behaviors and habitats.

Through its website, Ocean Raccoons offers insights into the coastal environment, featuring profiles of oceanic raccoons, field notes, seasonal summaries of the beach experience, and a gallery of serene coastal scenes. The journal provides deeper material on the tracks, mist, algae, and tidal pools, enhancing the understanding of this vibrant ecosystem. Each aspect of the project highlights a commitment to preserving the natural rhythms of coastal life for future generations.
