About Santa Cruz Ocean Spi
Santa Cruz Ocean Spirit is an international festival of wave sports and music held at Santa Cruz beach in the municipality of Torres Vedras, Portugal. Running since 2007, it brings athletes, visitors and local audiences together for a programme centred on surfing-related competitions and live entertainment. The festival features events such as the Santa Cruz Bodyboard Open, part of Portugal’s National Bodyboarding Championship, and the Santa Cruz Bodysurf Pro, showcasing leading competitors in these disciplines.
Alongside the sporting programme, concerts add a musical dimension, with past performers including Julian Marley & The Uprising and Kamala & NBC. The event also promotes activities and information through areas such as Aldeia Neptuno and sustainability, reflecting its wider festival offering beyond the competitions.
