OC Lactation Services is a breastfeeding support practice led by Michele Sandberg, a registered nurse and International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). Michele became passionate about helping breastfeeding parents after facing challenges with her fourth child. With prior nursing experience in neonatal intensive care, labor and delivery, and postpartum care, she pursued lactation training at UCLA, UCSD, and the Lactation Institute. She has been IBCLC-certified since 1996 and has worked in both hospitals and private practice, supporting families with a wide range of breastfeeding and lactation concerns.

The practice helps parents address pain, feeding worries, latch and positioning difficulties, and other challenges as they work toward their feeding goals. Michele offers home visits in South Orange County, bringing supplies and a scale to assess a baby’s weight before and after feedings. Her approach centers on listening, education, encouragement, and nonjudgmental care. OC Lactation Services aims to empower new parents to nourish their children physically and emotionally, while helping families feel supported and confident throughout their breastfeeding journey.
