Occoneechee Council, Scouting America, supports youth, families, volunteers, and Scouting units across the Raleigh, Durham, and Fayetteville areas of North Carolina. Its programs aim to develop character, citizenship, leadership, confidence, and practical skills through friendship, service, and outdoor adventure. Young people can participate in Cub Scouts, Scouts BSA, Venturing, Sea Scouts, Exploring, and Scoutreach, with resources and training available for families and adult leaders.

The council offers camping and outdoor programs at several properties. Camp Durant, near Carthage, features 2,400 acres of forests and lakes, summer camp activities, campsites, and facilities including an air-conditioned dining hall. Camp Campbell provides waterfront access and primitive camping at Kerr Lake, while Camp Reeves offers open and wooded campsites suited to unit camping and outdoor skills development. Additional activities include aquatics, climbing, range and target programs, high adventure, orienteering, fishing, and STEM opportunities.

Occoneechee Council also provides a Scout Shop, Scout Nights, popcorn fundraising resources, membership support, and connections for Eagle Scout alumni through local associations.
