Oddie Fasteners

Oddie Fasteners specializes in Oddie® quick-release quarter-turn fasteners, a panel fastening solution used worldwide since the 1930s. Originally designed and manufactured in the UK to secure aircraft engine panels while allowing rapid access for maintenance, the fastener was used on the first Spitfire aircraft. Today, it provides a quick and secure way to attach panels or components that need to be removed for servicing or replacement.

The fastening system typically consists of a stud held in the removable panel by a retainer and a spring-steel clip mounted to the supporting framework. To release it, the user turns the stud a quarter turn; to lock it, the stud is pushed back into the clip. Oddie Fasteners offers different head styles, including security “snake eye,” Torx, slotted, pan-head and wing designs. Fasteners are available in various sizes and materials to suit different applications, with a focus on balancing security and speed of use.
