The Black Sea Security Forum is an annual international platform for high-level discussion of security challenges and geopolitical developments in the Black Sea region and beyond. Launched in Odesa in 2024 by a group of Ukrainian parliamentarians, it has grown into a major geopolitical event in southern Ukraine. Its inaugural gathering brought together more than 350 participants, while the 2025 Forum welcomed over 600 guests, including government representatives, members of international organizations, and leading experts.
Led by Ukrainian MP Oleksii Goncharenko, the Forum brings together participants to exchange strategic insights, encourage regional cooperation, and contribute to discussions on security policy. Its Advisory Board includes representatives from across the Ukrainian Parliament, supporting inclusive, cross-party engagement in shaping the agenda.
Odesa’s role as a major Black Sea port and Ukraine’s maritime gateway makes it a fitting setting for conversations about the region’s future security architecture. The Forum offers annual events, special meetings, and related publications, and invites participants to register for its upcoming gatherings.
