About ODIN
ODIN is a European multi-centre pilot study that aims to enhance hospital safety, productivity, and quality. As part of the project, ODIN will contribute to the implementation of the European Smart Hospitals of the Future. The main objective is to deliver an open digital platform empowered by robotics, IoT solutions, and specialized AI.
This platform will support a suite of services and Key Enabling Resources (KERs) implemented in three Reference Areas of Hospital Interventions: workers, robots, and medical locations. ODIN will be tested through seven Clinical User Cases in leading hospitals across six European countries. By gathering information and data from participating hospitals and utilizing high levels of AI, the platform will enable Problem Perception, Cognitive Reasoning, and Knowledge Optimization.
This will result in optimized management, innovative products, and services, fostering an open innovation approach between hospital and industrial partners. ODIN's objectives include delivering an open and secure platform, implementing a multi-centre cohort study to demonstrate effectiveness and cost-effectiveness, and setting up a communication and dissemination program. The impact of ODIN will be evident through the deployment of AI-based pilots in leading hospitals, demonstrating advancements in smart hospital technology.
ODIN will also showcase the effectiveness of AI technologies, such as smart robots, in various healthcare tasks. Additionally, ODIN aims to engage healthcare policymakers, investors, and stakeholders through its pilot programs and collaboration with local, regional, and national authorities. The project emphasizes ease of deployment and scalability, with a digital platform that offers easy access to microservices based on robotics, IoT, and AI.
Overall, ODIN seeks to transform healthcare delivery by leveraging AI-based technology, fostering collaborations, and delivering innovative solutions that enhance patient care
