Ordre des diététistes-nutritionnistes du Québec

The Ordre des diététistes-nutritionnistes du Québec (ODNQ), formerly known as the Ordre professionnel des diététistes du Québec, is the professional order responsible for protecting the public in matters related to nutrition in Quebec. It works to ensure that its members maintain a high level of competence and uphold their professional duties.

The ODNQ helps the public find a dietitian-nutritionist, including practitioners in private practice, and provides a directory where users can verify a member’s right to practise and view information such as contact details, languages, and areas of activity. The organization also explains how to raise concerns about professional conduct or report suspected misuse of the title or illegal practice, and offers guidance on available recourse.

For members, the ODNQ provides resources and services related to professional practice, continuing education, inspections, registration, insurance, and career opportunities. It also supports prospective members with information about required education, applications, credential equivalencies, and returning to the profession. Through publications, public-awareness campaigns, events, and awards, the ODNQ shares nutrition knowledge and promotes the profession.
