L’Odyssée de Raoul is a mobile creative painting initiative founded in 2020, bringing art, social connection and travel together. Its thoughtfully equipped workshop truck travels to meet people, offering welcoming spaces to express themselves, unwind and create. The project began in Nevers through a community-minded collaboration between an artist and the association Foutu Cancer 58, and has since travelled across France, including the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region.

Its approach to painting is intuitive, inclusive and non-judgmental: no formal art experience is needed, and participants are encouraged to explore ideas and colours at their own pace. L’Odyssée de Raoul offers tailored creative workshops on the road, at its studio, at events or in participants’ homes. Activities include regular studio sessions in Peyroules, creative walks in nature that turn observations into art, and collaborative mural-making. The mobile workshops also reach rural and isolated communities. More than an art programme, L’Odyssée de Raoul places human connection, listening and shared experience at the heart of every activity.
