The Marktweiber der Stadtgarde Oecher Penn 1958 e.V. is a women’s group rooted in Aachen’s carnival tradition. Founded in 1958 by the women of the Oecher Penn command staff, the group has continued to flourish and remains an active part of the city’s festive calendar. Its members take part in events organized by the Stadtgarde Oecher Penn and in the Rathausstürmungen organized by the City of Aachen, bringing their presence and enthusiasm to local celebrations.

A highlight of the group’s programme is its own Mittfasten session, held around mid-Lent. The event is described as a distinctive fixture in the carnival calendar, attracting interest beyond the immediate area. The group also shares information about its history, activities and leadership, including updates following its 2026 general meeting. With a long-standing community presence and a dedicated annual event, the Marktweiber combine tradition, participation and celebration.
