OECS is an international inter-governmental organization dedicated to regional integration in the Eastern Caribbean. With its vision of A better quality of life for the people of the OECS and mission statement of driving and supporting sustainable development through regional integration, collective action, and development cooperation, the organization strives to bring together countries in close proximity to achieve common goals. As a regional grouping of 11 countries, the OECS facilitates easier travel and living among its member states, including Antigua and Barbuda, Commonwealth of Dominica, Grenada, Montserrat, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.

Through its economic union, trade barriers have been reduced or removed, allowing for seamless trade and movement of goods, people, and capital. The OECS focuses on various sectors such as economic affairs, agriculture, business development, digital transformation, free movement, tourism, and trade. Additionally, it addresses human and social issues like health, education, gender equality, social inclusion, and social protection.

With its commitment to environmental sustainability, the OECS works towards biodiversity conservation, climate and disaster resilience, energy efficiency, and the preservation of oceans. The organization also emphasizes good governance, legal services, and knowledge sharing.
