#OERcamp is a brand that focuses on promoting and mainstreaming open educational resources (OER) through their various offerings. They provide a platform for practitioners in the German-speaking region to connect and collaborate on digital and open teaching and learning materials. Since its inception in 2012, #OERcamp has organized 34 camps in different cities across Germany, with participants from all educational sectors.

These camps offer a unique and contemporary learning format based on openness, sharing, participation, and equality. #OERcamp facilitates the sharing of ideas, experiences, and solutions through sessions, collaborative text documents, blogs, podcasts, and more. They have also created hundreds of documents and initiated numerous OER activities, fostering the development and usage of OER.

Additionally, #OERcamp offers a range of formats including webtalks, educational videos, and a virtual SummOERschool to support educators during the current COVID-19 pandemic. With their inclusive and barrier-free approach, #OERcamp aims to reduce obstacles to participation by eliminating fees and formal requirements, and promoting cross-sector collaboration and peer-to-peer support. They serve as a hub for the growing German OER community, offering a wealth of resources and opportunities for educators to engage and contribute
