The Russian Society of Experts in Subsoil Use (ОЭРН), established on March 16, 2007, serves as a vital platform for professionals in the geosciences sector. Based in Moscow, the organization aims to unite specialists in subsoil use, fostering independence, ethical standards, and professional recognition. With a focus on enhancing the qualifications of its members, ОЭРН offers scientific-practical seminars, conferences, and expert technical consultations while promoting international best practices in mineral resource evaluation and geological exploration.

The society actively addresses challenges in the industry, including declining data quality in geological reports and the need for new experts to replace retiring professionals. To support its members, ОЭРН develops educational programs that prepare new specialists and provides access to cutting-edge technologies in geological studies. Furthermore, it facilitates collaboration with international organizations, ensuring that Russian subsoil experts are equipped with the latest knowledge and skills necessary for responsible environmental stewardship and resource management. Through a comprehensive structure, including regional branches and various committees, ОЭРН champions the interests and growth of its members across Russia.
