The Organization for Health Excellence (OES) is a Colombian organization dedicated to transforming healthcare management and improving the quality and impact of care on people’s health. Founded in 1991, it draws on more than 35 years of experience and the support of 56 member institutions. Its work includes technical initiatives focused on humanized, patient-centered care, Colombia’s mandatory quality assurance system, and clinical performance improvement.
OES offers education for individuals and organizations, including open courses, diplomas, corporate training, seminars, and workshops. It also provides books and resources for the healthcare sector, and convenes the OES Forum, with current and past events and publications on the state of the art. Through Excella by OES, the organization presents a model for recognizing Centers of Excellence in healthcare, structured around two components, five pillars, and 17 standards.
OES is an official member of the International Society for Quality in Health Care (ISQua) and a signatory to Colombia’s Ministry of Information Technologies and Communications Telework Pact. It is based in Bogotá, Colombia.
