Haus der Geschichte Österreich (hdgö) is Austria's first museum dedicated to contemporary history, aiming to engage visitors with the nation's past from 1918 onwards. Located in Vienna, the museum offers a rich variety of exhibitions, including the highlight display "Es funkt! Austria between Propaganda and Protest," which explores the role of radio and podcasts in shaping the political discourse throughout Austria's history.

hdgö features a wide array of programs for audiences of all ages, including guided tours, workshops, and educational events designed for schools and youth. Visitors can enjoy temporary exhibitions, as well as access digital collections online, allowing them to explore Austria’s historical narrative interactively. The museum operates from Tuesday to Sunday, with extended hours on Thursdays, making it accessible for everyone.

Additionally, hdgö provides thoughtful programming, including lectures, concerts, and thematic collections, which aim to foster critical conversations about history and its implications for contemporary society. Join hdgö to experience the dynamic interplay of history, culture, and society in Austria.
