OEW Breitband GmbH is a broadband infrastructure company focused on bringing high-speed fibre-optic internet to underserved communities in Baden-Württemberg, particularly in Oberschwaben. Its mission is to help make towns and municipalities faster, future-ready and digitally connected, especially where private companies have little commercial incentive to build fibre networks.

The company works with municipalities on publicly funded broadband projects, supporting the process from identifying underserved areas and preparing funding applications through to leasing the completed passive network infrastructure. Its website provides information about subsidised broadband expansion, current construction projects and eligibility for a fibre connection. Residents can check whether their property is within a funded expansion area through the house-connection portal and contact OEW Breitband with questions about local plans, construction work or agreements.

OEW Breitband also offers support for enquiries, requests for utility-line information and damage reports. The company says it is currently expanding broadband infrastructure in six of its nine founding districts, helping bring reliable high-speed connectivity to communities across the region.
