The Old Flying Machine Company (OFMC) is a historic aviation company formed in 1981 by Ray Hanna and his children, Mark and Sarah. Based at Duxford Airfield in Cambridge, it maintains and operates rare historic aircraft in airworthy condition, with a focus on presenting classic fighter aircraft as safely and authentically as possible. OFMC is known for its public airshow displays across the UK and Europe, as well as performances at private events.
Its small team of six highly experienced pilots flies the aircraft solo or in formation, delivering aerobatic displays that reflect their original roles. The company also provides specialist aircraft and aviation services for film and television productions. Its screen credits include Memphis Belle, Saving Private Ryan, Tomorrow Never Dies, Dark Blue World, Flyboys, Empire of the Sun and Piece of Cake.
From 1999 to 2003, OFMC also operated the Breitling Fighters, a group of four Second World War fighters that appeared at displays throughout Europe
