The Oil & Gas Methane Partnership 2.0 (OGMP 2.0) is the United Nations Environment Programme’s flagship oil and gas reporting and mitigation programme. It provides the sector’s only comprehensive, measurement-based international framework for reporting methane emissions. Through the partnership, participating companies commit to improving the accuracy and transparency of their emissions data, helping them identify emissions sources, prioritize action and support methane reduction efforts.
OGMP 2.0 serves companies working across the oil and gas sector, alongside stakeholders from investors, industry and civil society. Its approach emphasizes reliable measurement and reporting as a basis for informed decisions and practical mitigation. The programme offers information about membership, the benefits of joining and the process for becoming a partner, as well as resources, news and events related to methane emissions and reduction.
