Ocean Geographic Society

Ocean Geographic Society is an ocean-focused organization that brings together storytelling, exploration, photography and conservation to deepen understanding of the marine world. Through Ocean Geographic magazine, it publishes current and past editions featuring news, editorial features, photography and issues affecting the oceans. The Society also produces books and shares expedition reports, offering readers accounts of research and exploration in places such as the Maldives.

Its expedition program includes trips and documentation projects, including ANIMA HAI, which is planned as a major reef documentation expedition in the Maldives. Members can access different membership options and benefits, including magazine access and, for some membership levels, a printed copy. The Society also provides opportunities for photographers to apply to become OG Photographers.

Conservation is central to its work. The Society highlights climate action, shark protection and ocean watch initiatives, and invites people to support campaigns such as a call to protect the Arctic Ocean. Through publications, expeditions, membership and advocacy, Ocean Geographic Society connects audiences with ocean discovery and conservation.
