OHAF

Ozarks Health Advocacy Foundation (OHAF) is a charitable foundation serving children in Southwest Missouri, with a focus on making essential healthcare possible for those with critical physical, mental, and dental health needs. Based in Springfield, the foundation supports 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations working to improve children’s well-being across 20 counties in the Ozarks region. Through grantmaking, OHAF provides financial resources to help address health needs that might otherwise go unmet because of limited funds.

The foundation has awarded more than $2. 2 million for child healthcare and runs two primary grant cycles each year: summer awards are scheduled for July, and winter awards for February. Organizations begin with a one-page concept letter; those approved are invited to submit a full application and later provide a progress report describing the grant’s impact.

OHAF also recognizes local champions through its annual Child Health Advocate of the Year award, which includes a $5,000 unrestricted grant to the recipient’s employer. Its work aims to help children thrive and build a healthier future for the Ozarks community
