O'Hare Williams

O’Hare Williams is the fine art practice of Patricia O’Hare Williams, a contemporary New England artist who has spent most of her life in Marblehead, north of Boston, Massachusetts. Her paintings draw on the region’s coastal landscapes and the changing light of the ocean, exploring memory, nostalgia, and the personal meaning people attach to familiar places. Quiet harbor inlets, gardens, the working waterfront, shifting tides, and colonial homes all inform her imagery and the stories she evokes.

Williams aims to make her paintings feel recognizable yet slightly removed from reality, like a place recalled from memory rather than seen in a photograph. She creates landscapes and portraits using watercolor and acrylic, and offers original paintings for purchase as well as commissioned work. Her current collection includes scenes of New England life, such as boats at the dock awaiting a day’s sail. Through her work, O’Hare Williams invites viewers to connect with the atmosphere and memories of the coast.
