Ohioana Library is an esteemed literary institution founded in 1929 by Ohio's First Lady, Martha Kinney Cooper. Its mission is to collect, preserve, and promote the works of Ohio authors, artists, and musicians. Originally located in the Governor's Mansion, the library later relocated to the State Office Building and then to the Jeffrey Mining Corporate Center in downtown Columbus.

The library boasts an extensive collection that includes over 45,000 books by or about Ohioans, 10,000 pieces of sheet music, biographical files on notable Ohioans, personal papers of Ohio authors and artists, and numerous scrapbooks from Ohio civic and cultural organizations. While the collection cannot be borrowed, it is readily available for in-library use. Ohioana Library is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization governed by a Board of Trustees and is supported through memberships, subscriptions, contributions, and a subsidy from the State of Ohio.
