About OH WOW! Science Center
OH WOW!® Science Center, also known as The Roger & Gloria Jones Children’s Center for Science & Technology, is a highly respected brand located in downtown Youngstown, Ohio. Since its opening on May 12, 2011, OH WOW!® has become a beloved anchor of the community, fostering economic development and serving over 645,262 visitors. At OH WOW!®, visitors can immerse themselves in a colorful and interactive environment that promotes independent thinking and exploration through STEM-based exhibits and programs.
The center offers self-directed and staff-guided exploration opportunities on-site, allowing visitors to engage with hands-on exhibits. In addition, OH WOW!® organizes a range of impactful programs and events. These include field trips, a free STEM Festival called Silly Science Sunday, outreach programs, professional development opportunities for educators, and research opportunities for college faculty and students.
The center also provides volunteer and internship opportunities for high school and college students.
