About Okhra
Okhra is an eco-museum located in Roussillon, Luberon, Vaucluse, dedicated to the exploration of colors. Offering a unique experience, it is housed in an ancient ochre factory and features stages, workshops, and exhibitions for all ages. Open 7 days a week from February to October, Okhra provides a range of activities.
During the summer season from July 8th to August 31st, there are painting and print workshops, One-day Ocrier workshops, as well as guided tours of the former ochre factory. Reservations can be made by contacting Okhra directly. Visitors can immerse themselves in the world of color manufacturing through a tour of the rehabilitated factory, where passionate individuals tell the fascinating story of pigments and their historical and contemporary uses.
Okhra also has a boutique that offers a variety of natural pigments, dyes, tools, books, and rare materials. Throughout the year, Okhra organizes workshops for schools, groups, and individual visitors, making it a must-visit destination for color enthusiasts
