KAT Academy

Korea America Taekwondo is a martial arts school in Olathe, Kansas, led by Master Jong Woon Kwak. Serving local families, including students from nearby Overland Park and Gardner, the school offers Taekwondo programs for children, adults, and families. Its approach uses martial arts training not only to teach physical self-defense skills, but also to encourage discipline, focus, perseverance, and personal development.

Children’s classes are designed to support confidence, self-esteem, concentration, and a sense of purpose. Adult training combines practical self-defense movements with exercise, with the stated goals of building strength and flexibility, supporting weight loss, and managing stress. Family classes welcome children and adults to train at the same time, while practicing with peers in their respective age groups and progressing at their own pace. The school also offers martial arts birthday parties and a curriculum, alongside reviews and other resources for prospective students. Korea America Taekwondo invites families and individuals to explore its programs and ask about a trial offer. The school is located at 2127 E.
