OMB is a cooperative dedicated to uplifting Ugandan authors and illustrators by publishing creative books that are deeply rooted in the Ugandan context. Our mission is to celebrate local stories that foster a strong reading culture while promoting positive African imagery and showcasing the richness of Ugandan heritage. We focus on producing high-quality non-academic books that align with the Ugandan curriculum and appeal to both local and international readers.

Our catalog features a variety of engaging titles, including "I Know An Old Mzee Who Swallowed A Fly," "Tendo's Wish," and "Surprise! Something Old, Something New." OMB is committed to empowering local talent by employing Ugandan illustrators whenever possible. In addition to enriching the literary landscape, our initiatives aim to support education; profits from book sales fund the school fees program at Ekitangaala Primary School, currently sponsoring 30 students, and contribute to literacy programs and library renovations throughout Uganda.
