Old School Outfitters

Old School Outfitters is an Arizona-based guided hunting service offering big game and upland bird hunts across the state. The company promotes an “old school” approach to outdoor adventure and provides guided trips for hunters seeking a hands-on experience in Arizona’s varied terrain. Its offerings include black bear, Coues deer, mule deer, elk, javelina, mountain lion, sandhill crane, and Gould’s and Merriam’s turkey hunts. Options include rifle hunts, cow and bull elk hunts, youth Merriam’s turkey hunts, and private-land opportunities for javelina and sandhill crane. Some hunts require Arizona tags to be drawn, while others are listed as over-the-counter; prospective clients are encouraged to ask about the units the guides specialize in.

Hunt lengths and physical demands vary by species and trip. The outfitter describes multi-day hunts, guidance on preparation and conditions, and accommodations that may depend on the hunting unit and each client’s needs. Experiences range from calling turkeys at close range to pursuing big game through rugged, mountainous country.
