BADEL 1862 is the leading Croatian privately owned spirit and wine company with headquarters, R&D and bottling plant in Zagreb while our three wineries are located in picturesque towns of Daruvar, Križevci and Benkovac. Badel 1862 was established in 1862 in Croatia, when Franjo Pokorny, the first owner, entrepreneur, trader and master distiller revolutionized the spirits industry by creating Croatia's first and most renowned herbal liqueur Pelinkovac Antuque. Since then, our company has grown to include an impressive portfolio of more than 200 brands and labels. What unites us and makes our company such an exciting place to work is our collective passion for building brands that people love. With our brands we honor tradition, build future and leave a trace in time. Badel 1862 products are currently present in more than 30 countries world-wide and export is our focus. We are a proud producer of the most awarded Croatian wines (Korlat, Vezak, Ivan Dolac) and a range of recognizable spirits among which Pelinkovac, Svarog vodka and Korlat liqueurs stand out. Badel 1862 is running its business on sustainable development principles. We take into account the communities and region in which we operate, as we recognized corporate social responsibility as an instrument of positive changes in business operations - all based on economic, social and ecological principles. We’re proud that our wine and spirit brands help people enjoy life a little more; celebrate small moments; and make big occasions even more special. About Badel 1862
Ol Istria is Agrolaguna’s extra virgin olive oil brand, rooted in the coastal landscape and longstanding olive-growing tradition of Istria, Croatia. Its groves cover 226 hectares across five locations near the sea, with around 68,000 trees, including some up to 40 years old. The olives are processed at Agrolaguna’s own mill within eight hours of harvest, using cold extraction, then stored in stainless-steel tanks under controlled conditions.
The range includes a balanced, mild blend suited to a variety of dishes, as well as single-variety oils made from Picholine, Pendolino, Leccino, Istarska bjelica, Rošinjola and Črnica olives. Products are available in 250 ml, 500 ml and 750 ml bottles. Ol Istria holds the Istria Protected Designation of Origin certification, which guarantees regional origin and production standards. The brand has earned international recognition, including NYIOOC gold medals and Berlin Global Olive Oil Awards platinum medals, reflecting its focus on quality and consistency.
