Olstars is a community basketball club in Olst, the Netherlands, with roots dating to the late 1970s, when it grew from a collaboration with the Olstars gymnastics association. The club aims to make basketball accessible to players of different ages and experience levels, offering a welcoming setting that encourages sportsmanship, teamwork and skill development. Its programs include youth groups for younger children and teenagers, competitive teams for players aged 11–12 and 16–18, adult men’s and men’s 3x3 basketball, and recreational sessions for adults aged 35 and over.
The youngest players take part in tournaments rather than a regular competition, while several other groups play competitively. Training is held at Sporthal De Hooiberg and, for one youth session, at the sports hall by the Watertoren. Olstars highlights its experienced coaches, involved volunteers and small-club atmosphere.
