About OMA
OMA Cecilia Margarita is a wildlife preservation organization dedicated to rescuing, preserving, and saving wild species through the Margarita Zoo rescue center. Our mission is to involve society, create better individuals, and unite hearts for incredible outcomes. Latin America harbors 40% of the world's biological diversity, yet illegal trafficking threatens it. In Peru alone, over 300 species are endangered due to illicit trade, mainly driven by the demand for live animals as pets or collections. Unfortunately, the survival rate of trafficked animals is low, with only one in ten reaching their destination.
Through connecting stories, we aim to share valuable experiences that touch many hearts. Our rescue zoo, established in 2013, provides a haven for animals rescued from agricultural land. Your support enables us to rescue, rehabilitate, and release wildlife back into their natural habitat, fostering biodiversity conservation awareness.
