OMAC

Orange Model Aircraft Club (OMAC Inc.) is a long-running community club for people interested in building and flying model aircraft in the Central Western region of New South Wales. Formed in 1929, the club supports aero modellers through a welcoming environment where members can share their knowledge and experience. It offers access to a maintained flying site and opportunities to meet fellow enthusiasts with a common interest in model aviation.

For newcomers, OMAC has Model Aircraft Association of Australia-qualified, fully insured instructors who are ready to teach radio-controlled model flying. People interested in joining can apply for membership through the club. Its activities include regular Sunday fun-fly gatherings and barbecue lunches, as well as special events such as the Banjo Patterson Memorial Scale rally and static displays. The club also provides information and links to relevant organisations and resources, including the Model Aeronautical Association of Australia, Aeromodellers New South Wales and Civil Aviation Safety Authority drone rules.
